In his eighties, the artist fondly recalls his childhood in Taiwan of a hardworking and frugal life, and the spirit of loving and helping one another,
which took place during the nineteenth century. The most representative item of the era is the form of transportation then: the "ox cart".
The vividly carved cattle seem to radiate intelligence. On the harsh and dangerous mountain road, people and cattle courageously forged on and worked together through thick and thin.
Their spirit is deeply heart-warming! The artist carves this vivid and moving scene into a unique and classic masterpiece.
