The original creator (Elder Chang Ching) uses three horizontal and three upright False Cypress strips, which are cross-linked by using the tenon-and-mortise woodworking joints, presenting the Holy Trinity (the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), a united cross, to show the love of Christ. The hollowing out in the middle is like a window to God, driving away from the darkness, binding, and leading us to the path of grace.
The name and crosses of "Golgotha Mountain" have always been a sign of the suffering of Jesus Christ. The place where He suffers represents the salvation, which means that it is the light of the world, the way, the truth. Christ’s death lets our sins be forgiven; Christ's resurrection brings us eternal life, and this is the gospel of forgiveness and the gospel of life.
