When talking about sculpture in Taiwan, the story of master Chang, Ching is truly a legend. Started out as an optometrist selling glasses, a dream that he had at the age of 47 guided him to a drastic carrier change. In his dream, the voice of God guided him to learn the art of sculpture, thus begin the road of him in the studying and perfecting the art of sculpture. For 35 years, he has been creating relentlessly as a sculptor, and won multiple awards for his brilliant works. Not only is Chang the leading master of Taiwanese natural landscape sculpting, but the name Chang, Ching is also Southern Taiwan’s answer to Ju, Ming, the equally talented sculpting master who was based in Northern Taiwan.
